Study Rooms
The library now offers three private study rooms for public use. All study rooms come with white boards, desks, chairs, and outlets for plugging in computers and other devices. Reservations can be made on the two rooms located next to the check out desk. The study room located in the teen room is first come first serve.

Who can reserve a room?

Customers who have a valid DeSoto Library card (adult or juvenile)

How long can I reserve a room?

Study rooms can be reserved for 2 hour sessions. If there is no further demand for use of the room then customers can continue to use the room until a walk up request or reservation arrives.

How do I reserve a room?

Customers can make reservations by phone @ 972.230.9661 or in person at the Information Desk. To make the reservation provide your name, phone number, and library card number.
The Teen Study room is first come first serve and not available for reservations. There may be ambient noise outside of this room depending on library activity that day.

How many people can use a room at one time?

A maximum of three (3) customers per room is allowed.

What else do I need to know?
  • White Board markers are available for use at the checkout desk.
  • Study Rooms remain locked when not in use. Check in for your reservation at the Information Desk and a staff member will unlock the door for your room.
  • Requests for recurring daily reservations or reservations for extended use (duration of more than 2 hours) must be approved by the Library Director.
  • Disruptive behavior will lead to a loss of access to the study room(s).
  • Please let staff know when you are finished with your room so we may lock the door.
